Eteach are proud to announce we are working exclusively with a large additional learning needs school based in the West of Cardiff. This is a fantastic setting primarily focusing on supporting pupils with moderate or severe learning difficulties and autism. The school prides themselves on being “a school of sanctuary” for their pupils offering a variety of educational experiences to enhance their academic and personal lives.
As a school they provide learners with an unrivalled classroom experience, classes are typically staffed with between 3-5 team members depending on the needs and capabilities of the pupils ensuring all receive the highest possible level of support.
With an impending increased pupil count my client is looking to take on a number of teaching assistants for immediate starts and continuing into the 23/24 academic year on a long term basis.
Due to the needs of the pupils it’s essential that you can commit to ongoing full time work until at least July 2024.
Typical working hours for these roles will be between 8:15am - 3pm.
Job Specification
As a teaching assistant you will be expected to:
- Organise the classroom and learning resources.
- Provide pupils with academic and emotional support.
- Provide personal care to pupils if required.
- Liaise with colleagues effectively for the benefit of the students and working environment.
