We’re currently recruiting for a workshop assistant to support our engineering and production teams. This is an entry-level role and on-the-job training will be provided as necessary.
About you
We’re looking for someone who’s keen to learn, with a “hands on” attitude to the job. You’ll be able to work independently, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable skills/experience:
- Soldering experience
- Electronics and/ or production assembly experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
- Microsoft Office
About the role
As a Workshop Assistant, you’ll perform a wide range of tasks, including soldering and repair of PCBs, soldering and/or crimping cable assemblies, assembly of electrical and mechanical systems, and assisting with in-house rapid prototyping processes, such as 3D printing and desktop CNC milling.
Main responsibilities:
- Electronics and production assembly work from drawings and other instructions
- Supporting the Engineering team with design and development work
- Product testing and recording results
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, in line with our health and safety policies
Salary: up to £20,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Schedule: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (flexible hours)
