We’re now looking to recruit an exceptional Workroom Warehouse Operative for our Hose business that shares our core values; respect for people, hard work and enterprise, excellence in reputation and making the world a safer place for everyone.
About the role
As a Workroom Warehouse Operative, you'll join our highly successful Hose division where you will pick and pack all customer orders prior to dispatch, take receipt of and put away all incoming goods and carry out other scheduled workroom tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
Receiving and booking in goods by following the procedures, ensuring delivery quantities and products are correct and put away in the correct storage location
Picking and packing customer orders, following standard procedures in an accurate and timely manner
Accurately cutting hose products to the measured length required and recording short length details
Assembling stocked components into finished assemblies, complying with prescribed works instructions and schedules to ensure all assemblies made are to specification and are safe to be used
Carrying out the required testing procedures in compliance with the company quality and relevant standards, completing test certificates when required
Following all mandatory H&S requirements, guidelines and recommendations to ensure a safe working environment at all times
About you
The ideal Workroom Warehouse Operative will be/have:
Experience of working within a warehouse/ workshop environment including knowledge of warehouse systems and procedures
Experience of cutting, fitting and testing hose assemblies with knowledge of Hose, Ducting and Fittings including pack and coils sizes
Numerate including both metric and imperial measurements
Experience using heavy machinery as well as manual handling of large, bulky and heavy items
Knowledge of health & safety at work policies - IOSH qualification desirable but not essential
NAHAD qualification in hose assembly is desirable but not essential
