Wildlife Rehabilitator
Hessilhead is Scotland’s busiest independent wildlife rescue centre, situated in North Ayrshire, dealing with more than 4,000 casualties a year, ranging from garden birds to seals, deer and otters etc
The successful candidate will be part of the wildlife care team providing the daily treatment and assessment of casualties. Some experience of wildlife care, hand rearing or vet nursing would be useful and an interest in British wildlife essential. Hessilhead staff are required to work with volunteers and students, and liaise with members of the public.
This is initially a twelve month contract that will be extended for a suitable candidate.
A full driving licence and own transport essential as Hessilhead is not served by public transport A rota system operates to staff the centre 7 days a week, including evenings.
Salary starting £19,500 depending on experience
