We are looking for someone to join our friendly, dynamic team as a Wide Format Printer / Print Production Assistant. Based in our print facility at Orwell House, Cowley Road, we offer a spacious, creative, hands-on studio working environment.

Minuteman Press has been operating within Cambridge for over 12 years with a fantastic reputation for being the ‘one-stop shop’ for all your printing needs, and the business has enjoyed continued growth over this period.

We have had huge success since our expansion to our new premises in August 2021 and introduction of wide format print. We are now looking to expand our knowledge and capabilities internally with an Wide Format Printer / Print Production Assistant. The ideal candidate will help push the business forward and give it more opportunities for growth in this sector. We primarily focus on small format print in which we will be giving training to help with the finishing department,when required.

Our creative-minded team proudly serve individuals, small businesses and large organisations in the city, with an emphasis on producing exciting, innovative print solutions alongside excellent customer service. As a result, we are seeking a highly motivated, honest and conscientious individual to join our team.

The duties comprise but are not exclusive to:

• Interpreting briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.
• Printing, cutting, mounting and laminating different vinyl.
• Applying graphics to a variety of substrates, including panels, fascias, windows and vehicles
• Office outfitting such as wallpapering, window graphics and wall vinyls.
• Printing and building exhibition banners.
• Check incoming artworks and flag potential problems so they can be resolved in a timely manner.
• Process artworks in line with requirements of print and finishing.

Qualifications / Skills required are:

• A minimum of 2 years experience in wide format printing.
• Knowledge and experience of different media.
• Experience using RIP and design software.
• Installation experience.
• Use of plotters, large format printers and laminators.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable, good time keeping and strong work ethic.
• Professional, flexible, enthusiastic and a good communicator.
• Well organised and be able to work alone as well as part of a team.
• A strong understanding of the importance of health & safety

Renumeration is subject to training needs and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
