About the Role
Trading associates are integral to the success of running the wholesale business within ASOS.com.
Trading Associates support the BM Trading Partners, to strategically driving the business through effective planning, trading, working collaboratively with commercial B & M teams, account managers and Trading Associates to achieve commercially successful outcomes for our Partners whilst driving profitability for ASOS.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working to deliver partner budgets and Internal despatch targets by managing and tracking top line intake.
- Communicating any risk to targets and proposing solutions to your trading partner.
- Work with partners to manage their Item set-up/PO process for all partner that issue Open POs.
- Reporting on stock holding and forecasting despatch at both partner level & total wholesale level.
- Building a good working knowledge of Micro strategy to provide an appropriate level of data analysis and insights that can be shared with relevant teams to aid decision making and gain product information.
- Regular analysis & reporting of partner performance and despatch to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Developing and building strong relationships with key stakeholders within ASOS, in particular the Supply Chain and FC teams in USA & UK.
- Contributing to meetings, under guidance of Trading partner, to ensure that key messages and movements in plans are communicated clearly.
- Supporting the implementation of new processes and seasonal strategies within the new wholesale area.
- Resolving issues that may arise and working collaboratively with your Trading partner and other relevant teams to come up with effective solutions.
- Demonstrating collaborative working, by discussing and sharing opportunities and risks with other trading associates across the team and within commercial B&M teams to influence increased despatch.
- Ensuring all partner & commercial team deadlines are met and completed, producing meaningful analysis to support Trading Partner and Management.
- Developing and support MA(s) to encourage their development.
- Deputising for Trading Partner where appropriate.
- Maintaining a strong awareness of competitors, including product and pricing considerations, sharing findings and proposing actions to the wider team.
- Maintaining awareness of company and division KPIs for season.
Who We’d Like to Meet
2+ years of experience of working at Merchandising Assistant or Assistant Merchandiser level- Experience planning weekly sales or despatch, stock and intake management
- Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with commercial B&M teams, and partners at all levels.
- A self-starter, who seeks continuous feedback and opportunities to take on greater responsibility
- Ability to embrace change and remaining flexible based on trade performance.
- Strong skills within MS Excel, and the ability to pick up new business systems quickly
- A passion and interest in Fashion Retail, with strong global market and product knowledge
