Duties
- You will troubleshoot high-pressure piping systems and determines need for modification and/or repair to insure proper and safe operation.
- You will determine the proper slant, slope, fall, or level of installation to provide for proper flow, drainage, and sanitary operating conditions.
- You will utilize safety practices and procedures by following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- You will demonstrate the use of plumbing tools and equipment to make installations/repairs.
- You will interpret blueprints, charts and sketches to install or modification high pressure piping systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Incumbent makes repairs and installations from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms, and where the systems and equipment worked on are in hard-to-reach places. The work involves standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work is done inside and outside, and is usually dirty, dust, and greasy. May be required to make installations and repairs in areas where bad smelling fumes are present. There is frequent exposure to the possibility of uncomfortable heat conditions. The work may involve exposure to the possibility of strains, cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, and infections. May occasionally be exposed to the possibility of broken bones.
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
