Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.

The University Library is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional to provide operational leadership, expert advice and guidance on open research practices. The postholder will manage and deliver a service for researchers to enable deposit of research outputs in the Bournemouth University’s open research outputs repository and enhance the visibility of their research.

As an experienced librarian or research professional, you will utilise your knowledge of the open access landscape and excellent people skills to build relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, to advocate and educate for openness in the research lifecycle. You will be adaptable, organised and thorough, with a proactive approach to ensure that you prioritise your work effectively and meet deadlines. You will work with colleagues in a matrix way to meet service requirements.

This post presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Academic Liaison Team within Library & Learning Support. This integrated team is responsible for the delivery of high-quality engagement and support for staff and students.

Applications for this full-time, permanent position are welcome from professional librarians seeking to develop their career in HE. For further information and discussion, please contact Emma Crowley by email [email protected].
