About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Weld Inspector predominantly employed on our HPC Site in, working across various buildings/Projects on the site and also working within the supply chain.
The Role of the Weld Inspector will report to the Quality Manager and support the site Quality Lead team.
- To deliver a high quality, consistent and competent welding Inspection service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures.
- Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the welding workscope is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Provide inspection support support to construction activities where required, as part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
- Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.
- To compile and complete quality documentation in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
- To have thorough knowledge of fabrication and NDT techniques.i.e. VT, PT & MT.
- To have thorough knowledge of QC Inspection and Dimensional Inspection techniques.
- Ability to generate work packs, Inspection and Test plans and Life-Time Records.
All candidates should hold the following Qualifications & certification:
- To have served 4-year Apprenticeship in Welding / Fabrication.
- Ideally qualified to CSWIP 3.2 (Level 3).
- Membership of an appropriate Engineering or Technical Professional Institute.
Experience:
- 5 Years’ Experience as a Welding Inspector.
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.
