Weekend Coffee Shop Assistant Deeside
Job description
We are seeking 1 permanant Weekend part time assistants in our Dog Friendly Coffee Shop situated within our Pet Shop on the Deeside Industrial Park.
The role is 10 hours per week (weekends), plus 1 day in the week depending on successful candidates availability (meaning a possible 16 hours per week).
Extras hours in the week may be available depending on the needs of the business.

Ideal applicants will have coffee shop / hospitality experience with some knowledge of animals, either as a pet owner or worked in a pet trade.
Confidence around dogs is essential.
ABOUT US: Pups, Pets and Ponies is an independant family run Pet Store having relocated from Dobshill to the Deeside Ind Est, and have expanded our existing pet business to include Equestrian and a dog friendly coffee shop. We have been trading for 12 years with continued growth and aim to maintain this trend with the right team behind us.
About the Roles:
- Passion for customer service, ensuring the customer remains at the forefront of everything we do.
- Serving customers efficiently with food and drink and taking payments
- Making and preparing food and refreshments
- Keeping all areas tidy and clean
- Ensuring compliance with all legislation, health & safety and food hygiene
- Confidence around dogs essential
- Transferable skills beneficial to be able to assist in the pet shop if required
- Flexibility is required to cater to the needs of the business
About you
- You will ideally have previous experience from similar settings
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to work well in a busy environment and keep calm under pressure
- Can do attitude with proactive approach
- Team player, self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, flexible
- Some knowledge of animals, either as a pet owner or worked in a pet trade
- Must be confident working around dogs
