Job description
There are few jobs or careers out there that can be as rewarding, as interesting, as worthwhile or as important as that of being a Community Care Worker.
To provide Care in the Community is to be responsible for giving Personal Care and bespoke Support to Vulnerable Adults in their own home setting.
In a role like this one you are a lifeline, working to make sure that people who may have suffered an unfortunate decline in life, have the chance to stay at home.
We believe here at Grace 24 7 Care that home is the best place to be and we recognize that it is so important to empower vulnerable people with the opportunity to retain this paramount right.
As a result of this, we require caring, considerate, dedicated and reliable people to join the thriving team of which we are so proud.
Becoming a part of Team Grace means that you will be making a difference on a daily basis in way you can see with your own eyes.
Speaking of differences made, Grace has many aspects to itself that make it different from other run of the mill care providers....
Opportunity: We don't confine ourselves by only seeking out those with experience. Yes of course, Healthcare Professionals of standing are massively important. What's also important however is to offer a route into this field for the next generation of would-be Carers. Something that we do with pride, offering full introduction and training to the role, along with a person centered shadowing process. This means that not only will the suitable person be shown how to do the job before they begin doing it, but they will also be given the chance to observe and learn first before beginning in their own right.
Development: There are no dead end jobs here at Grace 24 7. We believe in building people, giving them the chance to grow, to thrive to develop. That's why all of our Carer Workers are offered regular training and up to the minute news and developments within the healthcare field. As well as new opportunities as we grow our client base and cater to an ever broader array of complex needs and responsibilities.
Communication: We listen. We want to talk to you and we want to hear from you. That's why our care staff are regularly invited to share feedback and analysis on their developing careers. As well as attending meetings at the office with regularly updated training courses and undergoing regular supervision and appraisal meetings. We take a hands on approach and nobody to us is just a number.
The people you will be caring for in this role, our Care Customer's or Service Users will vary far and wide. Some will be as you may expect, Eldery People with Dementia and Physical Frailty. Others however may be of a much younger age than you may expect if you've never worked in care before.
Many of our Service Users present with a range of highly complex needs that will often be physical but also psychological in nature.
Caring for Vulnerable Adults requires a person with empathy, sensitivity, patience and understanding. You must also be able to adapt to emerging situations and react appropriately, working sometimes alone other times in conjunction with a fellow Carer. This will depend on the level of vulnerability of the service user and whether the call is a single or double up call.
We have shifts available throughout Wolverhampton each and every day, beginning at 7 AM and ending at 10:30 PM approx, a day such as this is divided up into what we call 'runs.'
We have morning runs, afternoon runs and evening runs to offer. With locations within reach and double up runs paired with drivers on offer, this role promises a degree of flexibility but also the chance to work hard and make a difference.
At the moment, we are focused on recruitment for weekend shifts. Meaning that if you're someone who is looking for extra money or simply the convenience to work alongside other responsibilities, this role could be absolutely perfect for you. Weekends are massively busy and so the chance to work a wide variety of runs in the span of a Saturday and Sunday is absolutely massive.
So, whether you're an experienced carer looking for a change or for more work, or if you're someone who has always wanted to work in care but never known how to go about it; walk this way.
Team Grace beckons and the promise of opportunity here is very real.
