An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Marketing and Communications department for a Web Product Manager with a strong background in web strategy.
This role would be ideal for someone who is seeking challenging career opportunities, working with a global education leader, and serving the needs of the education sector in the US. You will be working with colleagues in the US and internationally.
The Web Product Manager will develop and execute strategic roadmap for the public Cambridge International website for US audiences. This role will secure resources needed to execute the strategy and ongoing maintenance, as well as assess the efficacy of the website to ensure it is meeting ongoing business needs.
Please note: One will be needed in the New York office for certain business needs and meetings. 10% travel may be needed for work.
About the role
The web product manager will be responsible for building the strategic roadmap and the execution of the roadmap. This role will recommend, and secure resources needed to execute strategy. The role will report to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, and work closely with Digital Content Manager and Deputy Regional Director, Program Management and Strategic Communications.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of:
Qualifications:
- At least 12-15+ years experience in web strategy development, and 5-7 years in the education industry
- Significant experience of developing strategy and running a public website of significant size from strategy development, to execution, and management.
- Proven experience with using customer research to inform strategy and execution plans
- Experience of using website content management systems and able to adapt and research new ways/systems as need.
- Understanding of best practice design principles for mobile and ipad
- Experience of accessibility requirements in website development
- Understanding of HTML and CSS
- Experience in developing responsive design websites
- Prefer experience with Product Development/Management tools (e.g., Jira)
- Proven ability to work effectively within a complex internal environment
Skills:
- Excellent team management skills, and able to lead and motivate a team
Strong knowledge of web user experience principles, and what makes good website design.
- Prefer someone with experience with user testing and/or web design / architecture
- Excellent working knowledge of search engine optimization strategies and techniques
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize a heavy workload, and also pivot with changing business needs
- Proactive in fulfilling business needs
