Position: Manufacturing Operative
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £10.42-£14.50 per hour
Available shifts: Days or nights
About the Role:
As a Manufacturing Operative, you will play a crucial role in our client's production process. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of machinery and equipment, adhering to quality standards, and contributing to the overall productivity of the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating manufacturing machinery and equipment following standard operating procedures.
- Monitoring production processes, identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Assisting with product assembly, packaging, and quality control checks.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or product defects promptly.
- Following health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery operation is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and guidelines.
- Physical fitness to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects when required.
- Excellent team player with good communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
