This role is a unique opportunity to grow as a developer and work on various exciting projects across the business. You’ll be working alongside some very talented individuals on a broad range of websites. The ideal candidate will enjoy collaborating with the team and bringing their own insights.
- Work alongside designers to develop creative website experiences & layouts to help strengthen our content
- Communicate with business colleagues to gather and refine requirements and specifications for development projects within agreed-upon timelines
- Build customizable WYSIWYG website templates for our content editors & assist them in creating quality technical content
- Creating integrations with APIs and microservices to pull in content into sites & tools
- Implement analytics tracking to help improve our sites user experience
- Write efficient maintainable code using web development best practices
- Perform thorough testing of new features on staging sites before deploying to production
- Monitor website performance, performing refactors & optimisations where necessary to improve existing code, as well as bug fixing issues across our sites
- Help maintain our web servers & pipelines, applying occasional updates to our infrastructure
- Stay up to date with new trends, tools and advancements in web development as well as keeping aware of browser compatibility with new features
- Create and maintain documentation for software, processes & code used
What skills can you bring to SquaredUp?
- React
- Frontend development (Javascript & CSS)
- CSS pre processors such as Sass, Scss or PostCSS
- Integrating with REST APIs
- NextJS (preferable)
- Analytics tracking scripts (i.e. Google Tag Manager)
- Responsive development & cross-browser testing
- Typescript (basic)
- Wordpress Gutenberg (not essential)
- Interest in motion & interaction (incl. GSAP)

Salary: £21,600.00-£23,000.00 per year
