As a front-end web designer, you will take ownership of the design and build of our websites and digital environment.
With a user-centred approach you will look for ways to deliver the best experience for our customers, focussing on creating seamless shopping journeys and improving the overall brand experience.
What will you be doing:
Ownership of website design and functionality in line with brand guidelines and development roadmap

Working from a brief to prototype new designs and functionality in Figma or Adobe XD, taking feedback on board and making improvements accordingly.

Work closely with our developers when required to bring your designs to life

Work on tasks from the wider business in a fortnightly sprint process

Responding to and working to fix website bugs quickly.
- Working with our in-house CMS to edit and publish content

The skills we're looking for:
Required
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, XD, Illustrator) and Figma for wire-framing/prototyping

Proficient in HTML, CSS and knowledge of jQuery and/or JavaScript

An understanding of user-centred design (UCD) and basic UI design principles, awareness of usability and web accessibility.

Able to work with a design library to keep designs consistent and on-brand
- Able to manage tasks effectively from prototype through to completion and communicate with technical and non-technical people throughout the business.
Desirable
Experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio is desirable, but training can be given
Experience working in eCommerce
- Shopify experience
