We are currently recruiting for a Weaver within our busy manufacturing plant here at Bury. We are looking for a driven and self-motivated individual to play a key role within the production team.
The responsibilities of this role are (but are not limited to);
Monitoring assigned looms for product quality, optimum efficiency and safety and reporting issues to the Continuous improvement Leader.
Repairing warp and weft breaks.
Flagging looms for roll doff, knotter and fixer requirements.
Ensuring appropriate monitoring cover for assigned looms.
Completing downtime sheets.
Assisting with creel weft packages.
Maintaining high standards of waste management.
Emptying selvedge waste drums as required.
Performing any other task that is of a reasonable request in line with the production department.
Skills and experience required for the role;
Excellent health and safety practices and knowledge
Computer literate
Reliable and enthusiastic
An organised team player with strong communication skills
Keen eye for detail and housekeeping
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Ability to communicate at all levels
Experience of implementing Lean practices would be advantageous, but training can be provided
Hours: 4 on/4 off - 6am-6pm x2 /6pm-6am x2
