Wealth Management Associate
Guildford
As a Barclays Wealth Management Associate, you will assist the Wealth Managers when acting as trusted advisors to clients, with the primary focus being to actively seek opportunities that will contribute towards the growth of the Team’s portfolio of clients, adhering to pre-determined acquisition targets. You will be self-motivated to achieve personal objectives and assist in achieving team targets through client acquisition and support the investment-led activity of the Wealth Managers. The role may support more broadly where appropriate.

- Prospecting sourcing, engagement & new client acquisition through focused outbound activity ensuring prospects are aligned to the most appropriate level Wealth Manager
- Enhancing relationship oversight of new clients to ensure accounts funded, specialists introduced, and assets invested
- Researching actively to build and maintain a continual pipeline of prospects through a range of tools including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Artesian and Wealth Monitor
- Engaging in cold and warm calls/introductions to external prospects and key business introducers, presenting the Barclays offering and being the face of the proposition
- Accounting for the regular engagement with BDM’s and Prospect Management to identify opportunities and drive them to completion
- Developing relationships with key internal & external stakeholders to build a solid network and effective opportunity stream for the Wealth Manager
- Having ownership of internal mapping/regular engagement to ensure data mining & book reviews with internal KBIs and deepening existing client relationships
- Developing sales pitches with the oversight of a Wealth Manager and identifying target clients for particular products and investment solutions
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for one of the following:
- Completion of 2 IAD modules- UK Regulations & Professional Integrity & Investments, Risk & Taxation modules; completion of the FP & Advice module within one year
- Level 4 IMC (Units 1 & 2)
- CFA Level 1
- CII R01(Financial services, regulation, and ethics) and R02 (Investment principles and risk) or R03(Personal taxation)
Skills that will help you in the role:
- A solid, up to date knowledge of the general financial market’s dynamics and current financial concepts.
- A high aptitude and solid grasp of the digital landscape, with the ability to effectively support client’s changing needs in this area
Where will you be working?
Our Guildford office is situated in close proximity the town centre and is ideally positioned to take advantage of the road and rail travel links (easy access to London; Reading; Gatwick; Portsmouth). The office provides an excellent central base for the growing team in Guildford to support our existing clients and the growth of our client base in Surrey and Sussex.
