POSITION: Water Engineer I

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Water Engineer in our Milwaukee, Milton/Janesville, or Burlington, Wisconsin office. We are looking for an individual who wants to be part of a team that provides exceptional service to our clients.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Assist senior engineers with the evaluation, study, and design of water supply, pumping, treatment and storage facilities, and water transmission and distribution systems.
- Field work, studies, and hydraulic modeling of water systems.
- Prepare project scopes and schedules, technical specifications, contract documents for bidding purposes, project reports, and recommendations.
- Day-to-day communications with our clients and project team members.
- Work within design teams in production of construction documents and feasibility studies.
- Attend presentations and client meetings.
- Perform construction administration activities on our design projects.
- Be active in various drinking water professional organizations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Working knowledge of with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation for occasional day trips.
- Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Must be able to carry up to 40 pounds and work in conditions that feature rough terrain.
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training in the State of Wisconsin or the ability to obtain registration within six months of employment.
