To provide waste collection and portering services at Lynfield Mount Hospital
To provide an effective and efficient cleaning service in line with National Standards Cleanliness 2021
To meet the requirements of patients, service users, staff and visitors to maintain and provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
To remove general, recycled, and clinical waste and dispose in the appropriate compound. Wast collection is collected numerous times a day around Lynfield Mount Hospital.
Complete store deliveries weekly administrating to wards and Healthcare Team.
Take delivery of Ward Linen, administer to the wards, and maintain linen rooms.
Support LMH main kitchen, portering food trolleys from general kitchen to wards, supporting food store delivery.
Daily parcel collections, delivering parcels to wards and offices around Lynfield Mount Hospital.
Weekly clean of bin stores outside ward areas and external bin compounds.
Cleaning of lifts, stairs, corridors, domestic trolleys.
To follow National Colour Coding in line with infection prevention and control guidance.
To ensure safe use and storage of materials to meet health and safety regulations and adhere to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
To adhere to safe working practices as outlined in Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) procedures.
Using a hand-held portal system, complete all cleaning tasks assigned to you.
Participate in regular supervision.
Attend all mandatory training.
Participate annually identifying, developing, and agreeing your own development plan with your line manager using the Trust Appraisal process.
Comply with all Trust policies, procedures, and protocols.
Pay regard to materials and equipment.
Carry out duties with due regard to the Trust’s Equal Opportunity Policy.
Seek advice and support from your line manager whenever necessary.
Maintain a professional appearance ensuring uniform provided is always worn.
Adhere to Bare Below Elbows guidance.
