SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to join the operational team as a Factory Operative within the Goods Inwards department. The successful candidate will, in accordance with the site’s operational objectives, contribute to the team fulfilling the departments KPI requirements. The role involves offloading incoming raw materials and preparing these in line with recipes to meet the production plan, ensuring a high OTIF of >97% and a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure your own Health & Safety and that of your colleagues by following all related procedures and constantly risk assessing the current task.
- Conduct all goods-inwards tasks, including raw material preparation for delivery to the factory and unloading raw materials deliveries as and when required.
- Ensure high levels of housekeeping daily and actively support the workplace 5s program.
- Support a continuous improvement culture in the department by contributing to and promoting improvement initiatives.
- Be aware of all KPI’s related to the goods-inwards operation and ensure that tracking of adherence to these KPI’s is met on a shift-by-shift basis.
