Waste Collection Operations Manager

Salary: Competitive plus bonus, company car/car allowance, and pension.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Location: Cambridge

As an Operations Manager at Veolia will be responsible for the day-to-day management of operatives and staff whilst providing site based support to ensure the site capability/capacity is maximised.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver strong operational and financial performance whilst maintaining high levels of customer service and team mental and physical wellbeing.
  • Ensure safety & well being of all employees and those affected by our operations.
  • Implement people management processes and procedures in line with company policy.
  • Ensure training and competency checks are in place for all roles.
  • Manage people and assets to deliver / exceed service expectations.
  • Work in partnership with Sales Teams to maintain and foster good customer relations.
  • Manage operations against Veolia Minimum Requirements.
  • Manage people and assets to deliver efficient and profitable service.
  • Be the nominated Transport Manager with overall responsibility for Fleet management and compliance.
  • Utilise data to improve operational performance.

What are we looking for?

  • Hold a valid Transport CPC - desirable
  • Level 3 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience
  • IOSH Managing Safely - desirable
  • COTC Level 4 - desirable
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
  • Previous experience of operating within a commercial business and an understanding of the other associated operational processes that may be in use on site.
  • Fleet management experience.
