About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our fun, hardworking and forward-thinking team in our ever-expanding Garden Centre, just north of Oxford.

Yarnton Home & Garden is a garden centre undergoing a huge transformation and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to help take our centre to the next level.

Job Description:

- Take the lead on customer deliveries – ensuring all vehicles are clean, tidy, and presentable. Ensuring company vehicle check lists are completed daily.

- Organising and planning efficient daily delivery routes. Delivering orders to our customers in an efficient, smooth, and polite manner.

- Using our computerised stock control system – accurately booking orders in, dispatching online sales orders.

- Assisting with the unloading of deliveries using a teletruk forklift and distributing them to the correct departments – communication is key.

- Keeping the Goods in Dept clean, tidy and hazard free. Ensuring fire exits are always kept clear. Including the top field & Containers.

- Pricing orders ready to go onto the shop floor.

- Work safely and accurately at speed, ensuring the proper and timely completion of all tasks.

- Communicating with the VM/Shop team when product is ready to go out, keeping an up-to-date delivery log.

- Quality check as stock arrives – reject & request a credit for damaged/faulty goods - communicate any issues to the buying team.

- You may occasionally be asked to work in other departments where necessary.

• A strong communicator who is confident to liaise across departments.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Clean Driving License - Essential.
• Fork Lift License - Desired
• Exceptional level of attention to detail.

Working alternate weekends will be required:

Saturdays (9am-5.30pm)

Sundays (9am-5pm)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.00 per hour
