Job description
As a Recycling Operative, you will be responsible for an important part of the recycling process: dismantling WEEE. This task ensures that all components can be reused or recycled responsibly. WEEE includes devices such as flat-panel TVs, microwaves, CRTs, fridges, PCs and other waste electricals.
Specific job tasks and activities
- Loading, delivery and unloading of WEEE
- Breaking down of Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) into component parts
- Dismantling WEEE such as flat panel TVs, microwaves, CRTs and other waste electricals
- Provide a professional and courteous experience to customers, while working in line with health and safety regulations and Wiser Recycling's policies
Qualifications and experience
Mandatory
- Must be able to reliably commute daily to Thetford
- Must be comfortable with heavy lifting
Desired
- Experience of working within the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment industry
- Able to work weekends and bank holidays
- Knowledge of safe working practices
