Single Homeless Project is a London-wide charity. Our vision is of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life. We help support young people by preventing homelessness, providing support and accommodation, promoting wellbeing, enhancing opportunity, and teach vital independent living skills.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual for our Specialist Lead Project Worker for our Young People's Accommodation Service. This Service is split across 5 buildings, mix gender supported accommodation based in Lewisham. The role will require you to work alongside the Services Manager and Deputy Manager, to provide a high level of support to these clients.
You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people with complex needs and multiple disadvantage relating to: mental ill health, physical health & substance use needs, offending behaviour and / or domestic abuse. You will also play a key part in reducing harm and liaising with external professionals, preventing homelessness and promoting the independence and social inclusion of these clients.
To be successful, you will have previous experience of working with people who are multiply disadvantaged. You will also have the ability to manage a caseload and deliver positive outcomes utilising your knowledge of the health, social care and criminal justice sector. A flexible, innovative and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage and challenging client group, is also required.
The working rota for this post is Monday - Friday. (no weekend shifts) and a mixture of earlies (9am - 5pm) & mid shifts (11am - 7pm)
