Job description
The Prima Group (Carlisle) ltd are a family-owned company in the online wholesale sector and are a leading supplier in the canvas and dye sublimation industry operating with five wesbites.
We have an exciting opportunity for a warehouse operative to join our team which could lead to further opportunities within the business. This is a permanent position based at our warehouse at Dalston although we will be relocating in approximately January to a new site in Carlisle.
Key areas of the role:
Located in our warehouse, your duties will involve picking and packing orders, booking in stock from deliveries accurately and efficiently and dealing with general stock management. We do have an online warehouse management system and all stock is picked and packed using scanners and computers so you must be I.T literate and understand spoken and written English.
Key skills required:
- Attention to detail
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Work under pressure
- Can work as part of a team but also work independently and use own initiative
- Effective time management
- Confident with I.T
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated and have a good work ethic
- Warehouse experience desired but not essential
Hours of work: 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday, although some earlier starts will be required during peak times and container deliveries. Overtime also available during busy periods.
