Job description
Since 1984, Scarecrow has been a UK designer and manufacturer of the most sophisticated bird dispersal systems in the world. We supply a wide range of different sectors such as Airports, Offshore Platforms, Schools and Café’ s across the globe from Suffolk to Senegal, Brighton to Brussels, Atlanta to Auckland and many places in between.
Following year on year growth we are now looking for several new members of staff to join our small team, one of the vacancies being in Warehouse / Production
This is a part time role, 25 hours per week. Monday to Friday 09:30 – 15:00
Core responsibilities:
- Product assembly work
- Batching components for assembly work
- Housekeeping – keeping warehouse tidy/safe
- Testing products built elsewhere
- Packing goods for shipping
- Booking shipments with our Courier
- Repair work as repairs come in and maintaining Fault Log records
- Technical support – incoming telephone calls where clients are experiencing difficulties
- Liaising closely with Operations Manager for administration of all stock control items and work processing
- Cover others duties due to holiday absence.
Skills / Competencies:
- Outstanding communication skills – verbal and listening; polite and professional telephone manner essential
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Attention to detail
- Organisational ability
- Competent in and good understanding/experience in all MS Office packages
- We are rural based with limited public transport, so it is essential you have a current valid Driving License as well as your own transport
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week
Salary: £11.00 per hour
