Job summary
It is an exciting time for HM Land Registry (HMLR) as we continue a major transformation programme. HMLR's ambition is to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our design team within our corporate communications function, supporting digital media production to align to the business strategy and digital transformation for HM Land Registry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, creative team, working on high-profile projects for senior leaders, colleagues and HMLR’S customers using an industry standard Apple/Adobe workflow.
The role will require the translation of customer needs and business requirements into on-brand, modern, functional design using a variety of creative methods.
You will play a key role in design, video production, sound recording & photography.
Job description
We are looking for someone who brings fresh ideas, has an eye for detail and who is passionate about all things in digital media.
You will have the opportunity to support and lead in a variety of projects across many parts of the business:
- Helping to solve business needs by using creative and compelling digital and design skills
- Use design principles and brand guidelines to create professional digital products
- Collaborate with the corporate communication team and other stakeholders or suppliers to ensure a consistent high-quality service from start to finish.
- Manage the pre-production and production processes: conceptualising, coordinating and designing to a final product, ensuring business needs, quality and budgets are met
- Support colleagues in shooting and editing studio and location footage including interviews, pieces to camera, promotional videos for campaigns and events.
- Image creation, editing and enhancements, using appropriate techniques and methods
Please note you will need to be flexible with your hours due to business demands and be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. You will be required to travel to other HMLR locations, with the possibility of overnight stays.

Person specification
To be successful in this role you must hold a qualification in media production, or other related subject at A level or higher or equivalent practical on the job experience.
You will have demonstrable experience of working with design briefs and brand guidelines and an understanding of production, business priorities and timeframes, with the ability to present, communicate and influence stakeholders effectively.
You will be able to demonstrate experience in production, design and editing skills with creative software including Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, as well as Premiere Pro, After Effects and/or Final Cut Pro and Motion using appropriate techniques and methods.
You will be experienced in digital video production and editing to a good standard and experienced using video cameras & DSLR cameras to shoot footage and images.

Selection process details

- Qualification in media production, or other related subject at A level or higher OR equivalent practical on the job experience.

You will be asked to complete a Personal Statement, in no more than 1000 words, to evidence how you meet the below Essential 'Experience' criteria:
