Job description
You will be primarily working out of our busy warehouse in Southampton City Centre, undertaking the following duties and responsibilities:
- Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
- Recording Good In (i,e Customer rugs for cleaning and restoration).
- Verify and fill in the customer's details.
- Check & Inspect products for defects and damages.
- Photographing 'before pictures' of all items on receipt to maintain customer records.
- Keying and uploading information into company CRM (Hubspot).
- Passing items to relevant workshops for cleaning or restoration work.
- Receiving completed work back and re-photographing and uploading to CRM.
- Notifying appropriate parties within the business when items are ready for return to the customer.
- Organize warehouse space
Requirements and skills
- Proven warehouse experience
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment
- Adequate knowledge of warehouse data systems (Ability to work with computer and CRM systems)
- Team player with organisational skills
- Ability to lift or move heavy products
Future responsibilities as the role develops:
- Front-facing customer engagement - visiting customer homes to negotiate work.
- Managing customer relationships.
(This will be fully trained and supported)
- Ideally, you will have experience working in a warehouse environment, although not essential as training will be given.
- You must be responsible and able to work independently at times and on your initiative.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills are essential.
- You will be a team player and have a flexible approach to working hours during busy periods.
- The role is critical to maintaining our high standards and reputation. Therefore, reliability is vital.
- You must be a customer focussed and willing to go the extra mile to complete the required work on time, to meet the customer's expectations.
- Great attention to detail is essential, as well as excellent communication skills.
- You must be computer literate and proficient in email.
- Full and clean driving licence.
- Eager to learn and develop.
