We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join Northumbria Wheelchair Services. The Service provides assessments of adults and children for the provision of long-term wheelchairs, accessories, and postural seating, in order to meet an individual’s mobility needs.
Wheelchair Services Northumbria is a friendly Multi disciplinary Team. Together they provide comprehensive assessments and interventions, which lead to the provision of regionally approved wheelchairs and accessories in order to meet a wide range of clinical needs for both adults and children.
- To ensure Wheelchairs and accessories are received, maintained, issued and collected effectively and efficiently.
- To collect, load/unload and transport wheelchairs and their accessories to and from patient’s homes and other establishments.
- To monitor, record and adjust warehouse stock in order to meet the demands of the service.

- To provide administrative tasks as required as part of the role including the use of the wheelchair clinical system.
- To carry out minor adjustments to Wheelchairs ie: replacement of footplates / Tension adjustable backs in accordance to manufacturers manuals.
- To be responsible for organizing wheelchair / accessory deliveries and collections to and from patient’s homes and other establishments.
- To ensure all relevant documentation is complete for deliveries, orders and stock management.
- To raise Purchase orders and Receipt new stock into warehouse, ensuring that the items and numbers received are correct as per order specification.
- To manage the warehouse stock levels, to ensure equipment is readily available when required.
- Loading and unloading of van in a timely manner.
