Cygnets Art School is the UK's only fine art school franchise for children with 20 branches across the country, as well as online courses available internationally. We teach traditional drawing, painting and sculpture, combined with unique projects; experienced teachers, and professional quality materials.
One of Cygnets' USPs are its unique projects, which are carefully designed to impart core skills and techniques that students can learn and use for a lifetime. Each project is filmed step-by-step as an online video-class. This is then shared with staff across all our branches, who replicate the project in-person within the classes, as well as the video being sold online directly to individual students.
We are looking for a talented artist with experience of video content creation, to take over the role of filming, editing and uploading all project videos. Videos vary in length from around 20-80 minutes (depending on the complexity of the project). Projects cover a variety of different mediums such as pencil, charcoal, soft pastels, oil pastels, inks, watercolours, gouache, acrylics and clay. As well as a range of subjects such as plants, landscapes, animals, portraits, objects, figures, artist studies etc. Cygnets HQ will provide the project briefs, however the ideal candidate would also be eager to assist with ideas in this department.
There are 90 projects to be filmed per year, and pay is £100/ video project (this includes filming, editing and uploading to the YouTube channel). Although deadlines will be given for different sets of projects, it is up to the successful candidate how they wish to manage their time within that. It is absolutely possible to film and edit up to six projects per day, meaning there is an opportunity for an extremely high daily income for the right person.
Applicants must have:
- Exceptional artistic skills in the above mediums
- Excellent video presenting skills
- Experience with video content creation and editing
Ideal Additional Attributes:
- An existing content creation set up for filming from above
- Experience with Wondershare Filmora (or similar software for filming directly into editing suite)
- Creative enthusiasm for helping with new project ideas
- Teaching experience
