Fernlea Flowers Ltd. is a family-owned producer and supplier of wholesale bedding plants with the head office located in Delhi, Ontario, two locations in Florida and one in California. Fernlea has grown to become one of the largest suppliers of garden plants in North America.
Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Clerk
Qualifications for Position:
- Strong Microsoft Office skills. (Excel experience is essential)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Calm, factual and self confident in stressful situations
- Able to plan and organize.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a time sensitive manner.
- Competent problem solver and decision maker.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Foliage Plant Nursery knowledge an asset
Key Job Functions:
Responsible for the preparation of shipping documents and other required paperwork. Performs inventory control functions using multiple reports.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare Shipping documents for outbound shipments.
- Prepare documents for cross border shipments.
- Monitor gate and direct incoming deliveries and pickups to the appropriate location.
- Create and send purchase orders and receiving tickets ensuring that the product received matches the purchase order.
- Filing and scanning various documents.
- Perform cycle counts on plants throughout the greenhouse.
- Assist with semi annual inventory audit ensuring all counts and information submitted is accurate.
- Creating and reviewing various reports as needed for inventory.
- Printing and sorting various labels as required for the greenhouse.
During our peak season, extra hours and weekends will be required. It is important to know that this position will also require some outdoor work when needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
