WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
You are passionate about delivering the right training at the right time to co-workers, at all stages of their journey. You thrive in managing technical and process driven trainers, organised, have a proven knowledge of health and safety and build strong relationships with people of all levels.

To reach excellence in daily running of Customer Distribution Centre (CDC)/Central Parcel Unit (CPU) operations, you will lead, coach and develop 2 Training teams (MHE and Process). You will be responsible for delivering all the MHE and Process training on site within the Warehouse Operation and Operational support.

  • You will have experience in leadership, and success in building teams and motivating people You will have knowledge and working experience in leadership function (preferably in Training teams and processes)
  • You will need to have proven knowledge (or the potential) of health and safety laws, standards and regulations related to warehousing activities
  • You will be computer literate with a good knowledge of MS Office
  • You will be able to implement a structural way of working within the designated area of responsibility
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people on different positions in the organisation
  • Being a strong leader and a team player with the ability to properly assign tasks to co-workers and motivate them.
  • Being an ambassador for IKEA culture and values both internally and externally

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  • You will be responsible for organising the site training schedule for MHE training to New Co-workers, upskilling existing Co-workers and refreshers on MHE.
  • You will be responsible for organising the site training schedule for Process training to New Co-workers, upskilling existing Co-workers and refreshers for Co-workers in their tasks. Ensuring competence in the tasks required.
  • Secure that working processes comply with IKEA rules and guidelines
• You will be responsible to maintain a safe environment throughout the CDC/CPU. • Have a good understanding of working safety and safely within a logistics Warehouse. Ensuring adherence of all safety requirements and proper training across their function and working closely with the Safety and Security team to align all processes.
  • You will need to analyse Operational workload to secure training requirements, supporting operational volumes, meeting the seasonal fluctuation needs.
  • You will be the Lead coordinator with other departments to make on site decisions based on long- and short-term training plans.
  • You will have the responsibility of leading and developing the training team within the area of responsibility and in accordance with IKEA co-worker idea.
  • Within your team, identifying, recruiting and developing talent within the team securing succession planning.
  • Working with Process owners you will be responsible for the creating of Process training plans and material for each task carried out on site. These need to comply with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and relevant Risk assessments.
  • You will be responsible for the achievement of the goals determined by the Warehouse Manager. Looking at future planning within training processes, commitment to achieve excellence.
  • You will bear the responsibility for staff, shift and equipment planning based on volume forecast to secure operational business needs and activities to meet operational deadlines.
  • You will have responsibility to help increase efficiency of CDC/CPU operations to help reduce cost, improve productivity and work spirit with high quality training.
  • You will focus on Everyday Product Quality (EPQ) standards within the training plans. Create Co-worker’s quality awareness & behaviours to reduce damage and make “Neat & Clean” a reality in the operation
  • You have proven skills with coaching and mentoring, leading and developing Co-workers, building a confident team who strive for more. Provide information about plans and results to co-workers and explain their overall importance. You will be able to unleash entrepreneurs and give them the space to challenge and develop new ideas.
  • You will have the ability to work with and promote change. Explaining and leading your team and shift through Operational or administrative changes. Leading in the unknown.
  • You will support and execute the ideals of "The People Idea" regarding recruitment, training, development and leadership.
