Warehouse Supervisor

The Role:

The Warehouse Supervisor will take responsibility to ensure that the warehouse function provides our customers with an exceptional service, always seeking to improve what we do and how we do it in the most cost-efficient and sustainable method. This role is based on-site in Croydon (Beddington Lane) covering a 7 day operation (earlies, mids and lates). Early shifts begin at 0800 and late shifts end at 2100

Primary responsibilities:

You'll spend about half of your time working closely with our loading and packing teams on our warehouse floor.

• Ensure teams have the support and guidance to run efficient packing and loading shifts with a level of autonomy
• Work with spreadsheets, documents and warehouse management systems
• Take initiative in solving challenges and problems within the operation
• Take pride in our distribution site and the effectiveness of the team
• Drive high levels of engagement within the team
• Plan and prepare shifts and shift documentation
• Develop your skills, and those of your team
• Ensure that colleagues are trained to undertake their duties safely and in accordance with Oddbox policies and values
• Liaise with both internal and external contacts in a professional and timely manner.
• Deliver right first time operations in all aspects of warehouse duties.

What we’re looking for:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience leading teams on various shifts in a warehouse environment
• Experience in managing warehouse operations using spreadsheets, documents and bespoke systems
• Able to coach team members and maintain team engagement
• Strong working knowledge of health and safety in a warehouse environment

Other details:

• Start date – ASAP
• Duration of role – permanent / full-time. Working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, covering shifts ranging from earlies (0800-1700) to lates (1000-2100)
• Location – Beddington Lane, Croydon (onsite full time)
