Permanent contract
Monday – Friday 42.5 hour working pattern
Perry of Oakley Ltd, a manufacturer of bulk materials handling equipment requires a person with a valid forklift licence join their Production, Dispatch & Stores Team. Key Skills
The ideal candidate will be flexible and energetic and willing to take a proactive approach to the forklift transport requirements in a busy engineering environment. The role is hands on and can be physically demanding due to the nature of the product.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Picking and shrink wrapping goods
- Carrying out pre-delivery inspections
- The movement of parts and complete goods around the large manufacturing complex.
- Loading and unloading lorries
Other duties may include, dependent on experience
- Mechanical assembly of machines
- Stores administration
- Production administration
- Stock counting
- General housekeeping of the department
Essential skills and experience:
- Valid forklift license is desirable
- Be pro-active
- Keen to be part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willing to learn and develop within the company
- Reach Truck experience is desirable
- Knowledge of MRP systems desirable
