Content Writer

In this role, you will be responsible for developing a consistent brand identity through the creation of content which informs and entertains. You’ll build and implement a content strategy, creating content and campaigns which are both on and offline, including writing for the company websites, blogs, PR, product and service descriptions, email copy, ad copy and for social media. You’ll take ownership of blog and website content, but you’ll also write thought-provoking articles relevant to the industry and even work with the design and video teams on visual content. You’ll be familiar with SEO best practices and keyword research and include this in all writing.
Key Responsibilities
As our Content Writer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Updating written content across e-commerce websites (product pages, category pages, blog posts, informational articles)
- Developing an overall content strategy in line with business objectives.
- Ensuring that all written content is fully optimised for organic search.
- Ensuring that all written content adheres to the strict tone of voice guidelines.
- Providing written content for digital PR.
- Working with the Brand Manager to create video scripts.
- Assisting the wider marketing team with written content (Google Ads, Email Marketing).
- Analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of new content.
You need:
- Excellent communication skills.
- 2+ years of professional writing experience.
- Experience writing e-commerce product/category descriptions.
- Experience in copywriting for SEO.
- Experience in writing in a specific tone of voice.
- Confident with analytics tools and a good understanding of conversion rate optimisation.
- Accuracy, a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
