Warehouse Operative Role Overview
shift starts at 7pm or 10pm
Within this role you need to maintain an uninterrupted flow of goods in and out of the warehouse through safe practices and be efficient in loading and unloading vehicles. You will ensure all goods received are labeled correctly and organized into the correct storage locations within the warehouse. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for completion of internal stock movements to make sure that production lines are supplied with the relevant materials in accordance to the set timeframes.
You will need to make sure you are adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure your own safety and the others around you. Additionally, you need to understand and comply with Company policies and procedures which are relevant to both the site and your working environment.
Warehouse Operative Key Duties
- You will be required to work in both ambient and temperature-controlled environments
- Undergo and maintain competency on the relevant MHE required for the role
- Keep the warehouse clear and ensure any potential hazards are dealt with quickly and efficiently
- Continually review operating systems and procedures, recommending any changes to improve operational efficiency
- Meet with the Team Leaders, Stock Controllers, Quality Checkers and Shift Managers regarding deliveries to the line
- Encourage and help drive the site’s food safety culture, to help prevent deviation in the process that impacts the safety, quality and legality of our products
- Any other duties as deemed reasonable by your line manager or senior management to assist with the operation of the business
Job Types: Temporary contract, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 3 months
Salary: £14.24-£17.00 per hour
