We are currently seeking a reliable and diligent Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders
Unload, inspect, and store incoming goods in designated areas
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment based on customer requirements
Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of all goods
Perform regular inventory counts and update inventory records
Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues with incoming or outgoing shipments
Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders and meet deadlines
Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar role is preferred but not required
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods
Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and protocols
Availability to work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a paid 1-hour break
Pay:
The offered pay for this position is between £15.00-£22.50 per hour.
