Job description
Walkers Chocolates Limited are recruiting an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as Pick and Pack Supervisor.
Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate processing of orders, managing stock inventory, ensuring high-quality standards, and providing support to the warehouse operations.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervise Pick and Pack Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the pick and pack team, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Coordinate and assign tasks to team members to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Stock Management: Monitor stock levels and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained. Collaborate with the inventory control team to track stock movements, conduct regular stock audits, and perform cycle counts to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to guarantee accurate picking, packing, and shipping of products. Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with quality standards and address any quality-related issues promptly.
- Intake Procedures: Collaborate with the receiving department to establish efficient intake procedures for incoming goods. Oversee the accurate recording, inspection, and verification of incoming shipments, and communicate any discrepancies or damages to relevant stakeholders.
- Warehouse Support: Provide support to the warehouse operations, including assisting with general warehouse tasks, organising storage areas, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Collaborate with other departments to optimize warehouse layout and flow of goods.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pick and pack operations, stock management, and quality control. Identify areas for improvement, implement process enhancements, and provide regular reports to management on operational performance.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop the pick and pack team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of pick and pack activities, stock levels, and quality control measures. Generate reports on a regular basis to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
