Position: Assistant Manager

We are a thriving retail store with a passionate team, known for delivering exceptional customer service and hosting exciting events. Now my client are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing day-to-day store operations and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Lead and motivate the team of 11 employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Utilise your commercial acumen to drive sales and contribute to achieving set targets and store profitability.
- Ensure the highest standards of customer service, ensuring every customer has a memorable shopping experience.
- Collaborate with the Retail Director to implement strategies for increasing footfall and sales.
- Participate in visual merchandising to create an engaging and visually appealing store layout.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock management to optimise product availability.
- Facilitate staff training and development to enhance skills and expertise within the team.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Assist in organising and coordinating store events to enhance the store's appeal and attract customers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a retail or customer-facing role, with exposure to leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Commercially minded with a track record of driving sales and achieving targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Detail-oriented and well-organised, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to work on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.
