Position: Warehouse Operator (with potential for managerial role)
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (with potential for flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM)
Weekly Hours: 35 hours per week
Compensation: Minimum wage during the 3-month probation period, with potential for an increase based on performance and suitability for managerial responsibilities
Job Summary:
Oxy-Plants LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. This position has the potential for growth into a managerial role based on the candidate's work ethic, timekeeping, and ability to work collaboratively as a valuable team player.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently handle and organize incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
Safely operate pallet trucks, ladders and other warehouse equipment to move and store goods.
Maintain inventory accuracy by performing regular stock checks and updating records as necessary.
Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders and ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment.
Identify and report any warehouse-related issues or potential improvements to the supervisor.
Assist in the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize warehouse operations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a warehouse operator, demonstrating a solid understanding of warehouse processes and procedures.
Proficient in basic computer operations such as printing labels.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and documentation.
Ability to work well within a team and foster a positive working environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
Flexibility to work additional hours as needed and adapt to changing schedules.
