WHAT WE OFFER
- IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer (£10.90 an hour).
- We operate 7 days a week and so full availability to work at agreed times in the daytime, evening and weekends essential.
- Shift patterns will include working alternate (every second) weekend for the 35 hour a week role, or 3 in 4 weekends for the 30 and 24 hour a week roles.
- We offer permanent contracts, advanced scheduling, and generous annual leave.
- Flexibility on availability and contract size to be discussed during interviews.
We have one 35-hour a week and one 24-hour a week contract in Bedrooms, and one 30-hour a week contract in Kitchens & Dining.

WHO YOU ARE
You are confident in approaching customers, treating them in a polite and friendly manner. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, a motivated mindset, and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
We feel it is necessary that you have some sales or retail experience, working directly with and building rapport with customers.
Ideally, you will have a knowledge of the IKEA Concept and Values, and if you don't just yet, you have an eagerness to learn more. In IKEA, we place great emphasis on leading others and ourselves with a positive approach, even during the busiest and most challenging times.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY
- You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings
- You are always passionate about our product range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
- You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop.
- You will ideally be competent with IT to use planning tools and relevant programmes to support selling to the customer.
