Warehouse Operative (PT) Rotherham, England
Job description
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in the Rotherham area. We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operatives to join the team part time.
- Safely and efficiently handle incoming and outgoing parcels, including sorting, scanning, labelling, and organising parcels for distribution.
- Perform quality checks on parcels to ensure they meet company standards and are correctly labelled and packaged.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Work closely with colleagues and the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure a smooth workflow, especially during peak periods.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including keeping aisles and storage locations clear and free from hazards.
- Report any damaged or missing parcels, as well as any safety concerns or incidents, to the Warehouse Supervisor promptly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry parcels of varying sizes.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in parcel handling and data entry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules during peak periods.
