Warehouse Operative – Order Picker / Packer
Mainline Menswear are a leading online retailer of men’s designer clothing in the UK. Based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire we are currently looking for a hardworking, friendly individual to join our warehouse team reporting into a Team Leader.
We are an established retailer of high-end designer clothing carrying over 100 different brands including Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Vivienne Westwood and CP Company. We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team to ensure efficient, safe and accurate handling of stock and meet order delivery deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Pick orders using the warehouse scanning system and picking trolleys.
Process Single and Multiple Orders separately.
Look into any stock anomalies.
Check the quality of the items that are being dispatched including taking the time to repackage poorly presented items.
Dispatch orders ensuring all items are scanned and placed into the correct size packaging, sealed and stickered correctly.
Operate warehouse shutters to accept and unload deliveries.
Scan all boxes received on any deliveries using warehouse scanning system.
Check off stock that has been delivered following current procedures. Report any discrepancies to the Team Leader.
Ensure the correct sample size is taken into Date Entry for all new items.
Sticker, scan the manufacturers barcode and locate all new items.
Undertake Stock taking as and when required.
Fold photo stock and put away in the correct locations using WIP1.
Assist the Returns Department by putting returns away using WIPW2.
Condense items into new locations to create space for new season products.
Replace any damaged storage boxes as required.
Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse at all times.
Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
Physical Demands of the Role: The role involves the following physical demands on a daily basis:
Standing and/or walking for long periods of between 8 and 12 hours per shift (standard full-time shifts are 8 hours excluding overtime.
Lifting and moving products of excessive weight.
Lifting,bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching, and/or stretching for 8 hours per shift
Pushing and pulling product of excessive weight for 8 to 12 hours per shift. (standard full-time shifts are 8 hours excluding overtime, flex and part-time shifts may vary)
Manual dexterity of both hands and wrists
Regularly climbing and descending flights of stairs safely / ladders safely.
