Warehouse Operative
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Birmingham based Logistics team.
What will I be doing?
You will be responsible for ensuring that all stock is safely loaded and unloaded from the delivery vehicles within the hub.
This will include breaking loads down into delivery routes, scanning where necessary and preparing bulk paper palettes for the drivers. You will also be responsible for ensuring all loads are secured and making the driver aware of the conditions of the loads and producing paperwork, where applicable.
Other duties will include being the site relief driver covering holidays and absences when required. This will include loading the vehicle, ensuring all relevant documentation is in place before leaving the depot and using the relevant technology to obtain proof of deliveries.

- Understanding of health and safety
- Flexible attitude to working hours and willing to do overtime where necessary
- The ability to work and communicate as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills as well as good attention to detail
- Physically fit; all tasks require a degree of walking, standing, lifting or stretching. Some heavy lifting may be involved
- Basic numeracy and literacy
- Proactive/self starter/ self-motivated
- High levels of common sense
- High levels of integrity and honesty
- Positive approach to change and good sense of humour
- Flexible and enthusiastic with a “can do” attitude
