We are recruiting now for a Warehouse Operative in Purfleet
About the role
The role is to assist with all aspects of warehouse work from goods in to loading lorries for outgoing deliveries, taking in deliveries from suppliers, operating carpet cutting machine, psi and order picking.
It provides an opportunity to progress within the country’s leading Independent Flooring Distributor; we encourage our employees to grow and develop and promote from within.
This role would be ideal for somebody who is keen to progress and seeks opportunities to forge a career within the branch and company.
Essential requirements
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Able to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Happy to work in a warehouse environment
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service
- Current, valid forklift, counterbalance or reach truck license
Desirable requirements
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Committed to learn and progress within the branch

Job details
- 25 days holiday PLUS 8 statutory/bank holidays
Working hours
- Alternative Saturdays (4 hours)
- Day Shift - 08.00-17.00, with a 30-minute unpaid break every day.
- Night shift - 10.00-19.00, with a 30 minute unpaid break every day.
- 42.5 hours per week
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £24,000.00-£25,617.00 per year
