Job Description

Warehouse Operatives are responsible for a vital part of a company’s supply chain process. They manage people, systems and processes to make sure that goods are despatched and received appropriately, and that productivity targets are met. As a Warehouse Operative at SPOR you will also be responsible for workplace health and safety standards, and the security of the stock and facility. You will be responsible for checking in equipment, organising the equipment into their perspective shipping areas and ensuring the successful delivery of that equipment to our client. You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of an Inventory system to support your warehouse duties and support your Procurement team. Outside of your warehouse responsibilities, you will be required to manage and maintain SPOR’s inventory management system in line with project delivery timelines and support the procurement team with their procurement activities.


Requirements

  • Overseeing shipment loading and unloading, handling day to day operations for the warehouse and creating shipping schedules.

  • Monitoring inventory levels using software programmes and initiating transportation or shipments when inventory levels are becoming low

  • Enforcing facility security and employee safety measures to ensure that the warehouse adheres to the governments safety standards

  • Examining related materials and goods to identify defects and check quantities against what was ordered.

  • Communicating with management via face to face, email or phone equipment needs, schedules and logistics plans.

  • Support for the procurement team where needed.
