Job description

Job Title: Chemical Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory tests and experiments using standard chemical techniques and equipment.
  • Analyze chemical samples to determine composition, properties, and potential contaminants.
  • Assist in developing and optimizing chemical processes for improved efficiency and product quality.
  • Prepare detailed reports on experimental findings, including observations, results, and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, including test data, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on research and development projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chemical Technician or in a related field.
  • Proficiency in chemical laboratory techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to conduct chemical analyses and interpret test results.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite proficiency.

Note: Before starting employment, candidates must provide their own chemical jacket costing £25 for safety purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to chemical handling.
