BT are looking for a Warehouse Operative where we’ll empower you, to empower our business units.
As a Warehouse Operative you will provide logistics support and asset management to BT Operational Field Teams from a network of BT Supply Chain (BTSC) Forward Stock Locations (FSL).
Provide Reverse Logistics support in a multitude of areas to ensure the swift turnaround and economical disposal of engineering equipment being returned from the Openreach Field teams. You will work with complex database’s and be responsible for overseeing procurement of goods and services from our external agents, including invoicing, liaising and direct communication with both internal and external parties.

What will the role involve as our Warehouse Operative?
- Working with complex multi-user database systems to ensure asset management is maintained to a high standard.
- Working in a small but very busy team to ensure Warehouse goals are completed daily.
- Understand the need for change independently and be able to react pro-actively to avoid logistical issues that could affect the wider teams we complete work for.
- Have a competent understanding of Ariba and financial invoicing/receipting systems to be able to keep within budgets.
- Be able to flexibly work where required to ensure that service is met throughout the team daily.
- Utilise the Microsoft Office Package to interpret and manipulate data efficiently and swiftly.
- Working with customers via e-mail or phone to triage their issues and concerns and effectively offer and produce solutions for their issues.
- Working with a large scope of external companies to make sure that they are compliant with our targets and needs. Furthermore, being able to work flexibly with them to mitigate losses and ensure they are being paid on time.
- Working in a fast-moving warehouse environment whilst operating different levels of logistical equipment in safe working manner.
