Discover career progression and security with the largest food service provider in the UK. We’re big believers in investing in our people and promoting from within. There’ll be no limit to your potential with us. In fact, almost 90% of our managers started life here as a Warehouse Operative. So, once you join our friendly and supportive warehouse team, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to move shifts, move roles – and move up.

You’ll start with four to six weeks onboarding, training, and coaching to welcome you into the Brakes family and get you up to speed with how we work. You’ll have a coach to support you as you learn about everything from stock control to management. You’ll be trained to work in all of our temperature regimes - ambient, chilled and frozen and rotate throughout them during your shift. This will keep your days and weeks varied and mean you get to work with and make friends with everyone.

What’s really special about a warehouse career with us though, is the time and money we spend on helping you to develop and grow. Because, if you’ve got the drive, we’ve got the vehicle for you to achieve career success. Our ‘warehouse to wheels’ and ‘changing gears’ programmes will both help you to develop into a range of careers such as drivers, team support drivers, even move into training and beyond. Added to which you’ll enjoy some amazing benefits which include:

  • The opportunity to buy wholesale food at massively discounted prices
  • A subsidised canteen where a main meal, costs around £2.50
  • Free thermal uniform and PPE
  • Generous annual leave with option to buy more
  • Heavily discounted quality food, hotels and restaurants
