About the role
The Warehouse Operative at our Print production facility in Aylesbury is a key role that requires an excellent level of proficiency in working in a warehouse environment. The role requires an understanding of warehouse procedures, despatch processes, and an understanding of the operations that are associated with these two processes. Comprehensive training in all internal procedures and software will be given.
The primary role is to pick, pack and despatch from the Aylesbury warehouse production facility. This must be done with the highest attention to detail and in the most economical way with the resources at your disposal. It must also be performed in conjunction with all health and safety procedures and policies, ISO standards and accreditations.
The role requires significant interaction with several departments within the Aylesbury facility, the Aylesbury management team, and on occasion, the CDS leadership team. You'll help ensure the Aylesbury facility is responding to all client’s needs.

Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who can…
- To produce accurate and timely pick, pack and despatch goods which meet customer requirements and quality standards
- Check delivery requirements as specified for each job picked and packed
- Raise delivery notes for customer orders in an accurate and timely way.
- To produce accurate and timely finished materials which meet customer requirements and quality standard
- Inform your line manager immediately of any issues
- Identify and utilise ideas which improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure all work is completed in line with HS&E, company policies and procedures.
- To ensure all procedures within CDS ISO systems are adhered to and all actions are resolved immediately
- An understanding of the whole end to end of warehouse and despatch process.
- The motivation to remain educated and up to date with developments
- To support CDS and our customers, performing other related duties as and when required
In summary, you will be self-motivated, possess an inherent drive for getting things done right the first time, and have an acute attention to detail. You will be able to work independently, use your own initiative and cope with complex, competing demands on your time and within a team environment.
Nature of Work
- Own and deliver against daily, and weekly delivery targets to ensure on-time full deliveries take place.
- Work closely with the CDS operational teams to ensure customer satisfaction related to your work across CDS clients is achieved.
- Maintain and distribute ideas and Information on work in progress, throughput and performance, which will enhance the performance of Aylesbury and client satisfaction.
- Produce pick and pack procedures correctly the first time in conjunction with the requirements of despatch requirements.

Vetting
Due to the nature of this role and the business, you will need to either currently hold UK Government clearance to a minimum of SC level or be able to undergo and maintain this level of clearance.
